TPG Chapter 13 Mini-Teaser + News

Hye everyone!

First of all, big apologies for not updating. I've been promoted at work and my new boss is draining me of my life force every single day! Well, actually, that's a bit too dramatic, I've just barely gotten time to even think lately and being blocked doesn't help. In simple words, I've been exhausted beyond belief.

I want the chapter to be perfect, and there is one scene that I've title "The Balcony Scene" that's giving me a headache. Edward is refusing to give me all the details and Bella is way too shy to spill. *sighs* I love the fuck out of these two, but they are seriously getting on my nerves! UGH!

Anyway, since my birthday is on Sunday I decided to post a mini-teaser today and give you guys a picteaser on Sunday. Sounds nice? I promise to update as soon as the chapter is done! *crosses heart*

As usual, forgive all mistakes, my beta and pre-reader haven't seen this yet.

Rosalie chuckled and looked out of the window. “I heard that Lord Olsen will be serving time in Germany.”
Edward hummed in agreement. “Garret will keep me posted on the case, but it seems that way.”
She turned to look at her brother with a wicked smile. “I bet you were cursing Olsen to the high heavens, weren’t you?”
Edward held back a groan and nodded solemnly. “That and much more.”
His exasperation amused her. “I’m glad things were finally settled. I wouldn’t have forgiven you had you missed the show,”

“You know I would never miss it, Rose,” he said with a wink.
“Yes, and this year you have one more reason to attend.” She took out a portfolio from her briefcase. “The painting is yours, Edward. But it will remain in the gallery for a month before you can take it home.”
“Thank you, Rose. Does Bella know I’m the one who bought it?”
She laughed through her nose. “Of course, Edward. You know I’m not one for keeping secrets. She wanted you to have it. She said it was a present—”
Edward groaned. “Please, tell me you convinced her to accept the payment.”
Rosalie smirked. “She was quite stubborn, Edward. But don’t worry. Tia helped me convince her to take the money.”
Edward stared at his sister. “You like her.”
“There’s something about her,” she trailed off in deep though. She turned and looked into her brother’s eyes. “I know—I mean, I think I know why you like her so much, Edward. Bella is so much…she’s very much like...”
Edward stopped her by placing one hand on her shoulder. “I know. I didn’t notice at first, but looking back, she does remind me of mother, but at the same time, she’s different.”
Rosalie handed over the portfolio. “There’s goodness in her that’s really admirable, and her selfishness is a quality that reminds me so much of mother.”
“From the little I know, it seems she’s had a semi-sheltered life,” he said, looking through the photos inside the portfolio. “And I think she was somewhat…abused by her mother.”
“Really?”
“She never really said so in those words, but it was the way she spoke about her, and after I met the woman in Seattle last week, I see what she meant. She wasn’t the most pleasant of person.”
“Yes, Tia mentioned something like that. Seems like her mother didn’t want her to study art and called it ‘a waste of time,’” Rosalie said with sneer. “If she only knew that a former queen was also a painter. I still remember mother having to wash her hands all the time. There was always paint under her fingernails.”
He grinned, looking at the photo of the painting he had purchased. “Yes, but Bella is so much more than her art, Rose. She pulls you in with her candidness, but she’s not as fragile as she looks. I think that she’s capable of putting herself on the line for those she loves.”
“I can see that. Her character…there’s a fiery strength and bravery in her.”
Edward closed the portfolio and handed it back to Rosalie. “I admit the first thing I noticed were her eyes, so innocent and honest. I hadn’t seen eyes like hers in such a long time.”

Hope you guys liked and see ya Sunday! ♥
