During Prematurity Awareness Month this November, Fandom for Preemies, with your help, will raise funds to support the March of Dimes as they work to eliminate this global issue. In thanks for your support of this worthy cause, fanfiction authors across the fandom will donate one-shots, story outtakes and original works for a compilation. Those who donate a minimum of $5 to the March of Dimes during the month of November will receive this compilation in appreciation.
It is for this good cause that I will be giving an outtake for Love & Secrets.
It will be Carlisle's point of view of the day he saw Edward for the first time, and it will be 20 pages long!

Not many of you are aware of this, but my mother was born at 32 weeks of gestation. My grandmother spent 3 days praying for her daughter's health to the Virgin Maria Auxiliadora. My mother and I were named in her honor, for in the evening of the third day after my mother was born, the doctors announced that she was finally out of danger against all odds. My grandmother told me my mother's birth story when I was only 8 years old. She told me that my mom was so small that she fitted in a size 6 shoe box. I was in shock for how tiny she was and since that day I always send a prayer to the Virgin Maria Auxiliadora in thanks.
It is a fact that, worldwide, over 20 million babies are born prematurely every year. It is sad to think that over 1 million of these children will not survive, and that 1 in 10 of those who do survive will face life-long health complications and risks directly associated with their preterm birth, including serious complications such as cerebral palsy. My mother was lucky to have a pediatrician as a father and a excellent NICU team working non-stop to help her stay alive.
Donating to Fandom for Preemies is simple. From November 1st through November 30th, you may visit our Virtual Band on the March of Dimes website. Once there, click on Donate in the Name of this Child and post your donation (minimum of $5). Once you have received your confirmation receipt, forward the receipt to us at fandomforpreemies@gmail.com and we will send you the Preemie Compilation.
